I’d say the Critics Choice Awards could be a pretty good indicator of who will win at the Oscars next month, in nearly all of the top categories, especially acting. But they have categories that other awards don’t, like BEST ACTION MOVIE, which was Guardians of the Galaxy… but they got BEST ACTOR IN AN ACTION MOVIE wrong! It should been Pratt not Cooper for American Sniper, although Bradley Cooper was in Guardians too (in voice only.) The Lego Movie won BEST ANIMATED FEATURE, so Pratt won there again (in voice only.)
Another category they have is BEST YOUNG ACTOR/ACTRESS which went to Ellar Coltrane from Boyhood, which might be the only award he gets until he’s onstage Oscar night with the cast of Boyhood for the big one, Best Picture. Anyway, no matter what Edward Norton will come out on top because he’s in both Birdman and Budapest.
