It’s already started. The city is jumping’ with activity all centered around Pride. If you live here, you might be hosting some out-of-town pals. If not, you might need a place to stay. Either way, you can file these hotel hotspots for future reference. They aren’t going anywhere – and all of them, save for The Jane, can be booked through Tablet Hotels here.

The Maritime
Meatpacking District — An unmissable porthole-dotted tower set at the edge of the Meatpacking District, the Maritime is a destination for travelers and New Yorkers, gay or not. On the 29th, there’s a post-parade Pride party at the Cabanas, whose low-key glamour and intimate outdoor nooks have made it an staple of the downtown social scene.

The Standard Highline
Meatpacking District — Next Sunday at the Standard’s famously Le Bain nightclub, there’s a “pool party” called the Nouveau York Gay Pride party. Casey Spooner will DJ, but I’m guessing that guests will provide the real entertainment. The rooms have great views and you’ll be right in the center of the Meatpacking melé.

Gramercy Park Hotel
Gramercy Park — It’s just a few blocks off the parade route, but tucked away at the edge of Gramercy Park, artist/ director/ interior decorator, Julian Schnabel created extravagantly beautiful rooms and public spaces feel far from the noise. If you book the “GLAAD you’re here” package, you’ll get a private tour of the hotel’s impressive art collection, as well as champagne and other “special privileges” to make your stay memorable.

Eventi
Chelsea — Eventi is a bit quieter than the Meatpacking District joints just a bit south, and with so many Pride events nearby, having a relaxing place to return to is a good idea. The San Francisco–based Kimpton hotel group is also a leader in catering to LGBT travelers, and their Chelsea outpost, with services such as same-sex wedding planning, is no exception.

The Jane
West Village – Built as a seaman’s residence, The Jane, in its former incarnation took in survivors from the Titanic, but the rooms are anything BUT titanic at 50 square feet. There are “Captain’s Cabins” that are larger but the majority of rooms are single or double bunks with internet and flat screens with a shared bath down the hall. They are also one of the best deals in town, with winter rates starting at just $69 a night. And their Café Gitane is a great Sunday morning brunch hangover cure, btw.

Wythe Hotel
Williamsburg, Brooklyn — A relatively new hotel, the Wythe is all the way out in Williamsburg (it’s not THAT far, really). For Pride they’ve installed a pop-up stained-glass chapel on the deck of their rooftop bar, built by artist Tom Fruin, for same-sex weddings. And at $1500, the wedding packages are priced to sell, I guess.
