Don’t ask me how this one came up… it had something to do with Joel Grey’s birthday yesterday and THE worst cover songs, ever. I’d never heard Babs sing Life on Mars (missed it somehow) and I gotta say, as weird and as bad as it is, it’s THAT good too. She can freakin’ sing the sh*t out of ANY song, including this one. One comment on YouTube reminded us:
“PLAYBOY: What did you think of Barbara Streisand’s recording your song Life on Mars?
BOWIE: Bloody awful. Sorry, Barb, but it was atrocious.”
