Clik here to view.Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman stepped down this week in the wake of the hacked leak that exposed information on everyone from Josh Duggar, to family evangelist Sam Rader and on and on. But the biggest scandal of all seems to be there were virtually NO WOMEN on AshleyMadison.com. Gizmodo published a survey on the women of the site that suggests very few of the female accounts on the site were held by real women.
Nearly all of the accounts attributed to women on the site were likely fake accounts run by employees of the company, and if there were really women cruising the site, they rarely ever opened their inboxes. Out of 5.5 million female accounts, roughly zero percent had ever shown any kind of activity at all after the day they were created.
The men’s accounts tell a story of lively engagement with the site, with over 20 million men hopefully looking at their inboxes, and over 10 million of them initiating chats. The women’s accounts show so little activity that they might as well not be there. According to Gizmodo;
Ashley Madison employees did a pretty decent job making their millions of women’s accounts look alive. They left the data in these inactive accounts visible to men, showing nicknames, pictures, sexy comments. But when it came to data that was only visible on to company admins, they got sloppy. The women’s personal email addresses and IP addresses showed marked signs of fakery. And as for the women’s user activity, the fundamental sign of life online? Ashley Madison employees didn’t even bother faking that at all.
The bottom line, the over 31 million men on the site looking to have affairs weren’t even close because the women barely existed at all. THAT’S big-time cheating the cheaters!
