Nothing now. Following in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Brooke Shields, Kendall Jenner is the new face (and ass) of Calvin Klein Jeans. Shot by Alasdair McLellan the campaign celebrates the brand’s new limited-edition Denim Series:
“I’m honored to be a part of it, honestly. It’s iconic. It’s [a campaign] I would have seen all over and thought how cool it would be to be a part of.”
She says she channeled the icons when on the set. Does she consider herself more of a Kate or a Brooke?
“Kate Moss, I guess. She’s someone I’ve always looked up to.”
You can say what you want about the Jenners and the Kardashians but fashion does not mess around with pseudo-model types. Sure, designers and the magazines are trading a little on her name but if she didn’t deliver or have the right look, it wouldn’t be happening for her the way it is. Models are celebrities these days. No, looks aren’t an accomplishment, but you gotta work with what you got.
