Twigs gives birth to a bunch of prettily colored scarves in the forest, then she and her dancers have “the most epic dance battle of all time” in the new video for her song “Glass and Patron.” It’s bold. It’s engaging. And it’s definitely AHHHHHHHRT. But let’s be clear. She’s not reinventing the wheel. For all the blog love and big talk about FKA Twigs and her “unique” and “otherworldly” dance moves – it’s just voguing. It’s the same stuff you would’ve at any ‘Ganza ball in the last 30 years. It’s great. And it’s fun to watch. But I just don’t know that she’s the second coming of Bkjork. What do you think? Am I just being cranky this Monday morning?
