Filmmaker Patrick Willems answers the question on everyones mind- What if Wes Anderson directed X-Men?

Watch the hilarious clip after the jump. Lets hope Bryan Singer is taking notes from the jacuzzi.

From CNET:

Professor X, Jean Grey, Wolverine and others are reimagined as quirky characters in a Wes Anderson film in this fan-made parody trailer called “The Uncanny X-Men” by Patrick Willems.

The trailer refers to a number of Anderson film tropes. These include orange jumpsuits — a play on the jumpsuits in “Bottle Rocket” and “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” — as well as student activity montages a la “Rushmore” at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

“The original X-Men team were all in matching yellow and blue uniforms, which work well with the Wes Anderson aesthetic — in ‘Bottle Rocket’ they have the yellow jumpsuits, so to me it made the most sense,” Willems explained in the video.

The video also decorates the door room with elaborate wallpaper, and there are exterior shots of the actual house as seen in “The Royal Tenenbaums.” Willems and his team also made and shot footage of a cross-section model of the school itself, much like Anderson did in “Life Aquatic.” This level of detail sets this fan-made film apart from other tributes.

And yes, the trailer also features the kind of retro rock soundtrack that would fit right in to an Anderson movie.
