Vanilla Ice has been charged in connection with a home burglary near where he was renovating a home for his reality show The Vanilla Ice Project. Robert Van Winkle was taken into custody today and was charged in an incident that happened within the last month, said Lantana police chief Sean Scheller. Furniture, a pool heater(?), bicycles and more were stolen. During an investigation into the house adjacent to the one Ice was renovating, authorities got a search warrant and found several of the stolen items at Ice’s residence in Palm Beach County, indicating that he “played a role” in the crime. The items have been identified and returned to the owner. Ice has hosted his series on the DIY Network, where he improves and flips houses, since 2010. How is none of this surprising? –except for the fact that he has a TV show… who knew? (via Variety)
