In that tiny part of the Venn diagram where Arrow fans and The Carrie Diaries fans intersect, I’m pretty sure it’s JUST ME, standing alone in a red hoodie and customized “Carrie” handbag. So I might be the only person in the world who is FLOPPING ON THE GROUND RIGHT NOW over the announcement that Austin Butler has joined the cast of Arrow as… Thea’s new love interest? Fabulous, sure, but… oh no! What about Roy? They were SO CUTE TOGETHER. Ugh. Lucky bitch. Can you imagine being torn between Austin Butler and Colton Haynes? WHAT A JOB.

Butler will play Chase, a charismatic DJ whose talent and wiles catch the attention of Thea (Willa Holland). Their professional relationship will quickly blossom into a romance.
At the end of season two, Thea ended her tumultuous romance with Roy, teaming up with her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). “Thea is going through something pretty crazy,” Holland hinted at Comic-Con. “All I can say is I’ve been hitting the gym a little bit.”
Butler is the latest addition to an Arrow guest cast that includes Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), the Atom/Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Wildcat/Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez), Felicity’s mother (Charlotte Ross), Maseo (Karl Yune), Katana (Rila Fukushima), a new Count Vertigo (Peter Stormare), Felicity’s college ex (Nolan Funk) and Mark Shaw/Manhunter (David Cubitt).
I just accidentally read Charlotte Ross as Charlotte Rae (from Facts of Life) and about lost my damn mind.
