Will Nicholas Hoult EVER happen? He was MAGNIFICENT on Skins, of course. And ADORABLE in Warm Bodies. And X-Men: First Class. (Yum.) But then there was Jack the Giant Killer, of course, which prompts the question: If a beanstalk falls in the forest and nobody sees it, does it make you less of a star? Maybe. Because all he seems to be doing lately is attending award shows as girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence’s plus-one. And appearing on magazine covers. This month, he’s on the cover of both VMan and Hunger magazine (below, where he looks incredibly dapper in Gucci, posing for renowned photographer Rankin). I’m not complaining, mind you. I just wish he’d POP already. Maybe he’s just too weird looking to ever be leading man material?
He might be at ease in front of the camera, but Nicholas has revealed that he finds aspects of being in the limelight tricky, saying: ‘I always find it odd when people look into my personal life. I’m pretty private.
‘The more people know about you and your personal life, or see you out and about, getting a photograph taken, the more difficult it is for them to imagine you playing a character. I don’t want people to just associate my work with my personal life.(via Daily Mail)
Hmmm. He might have to try a little harder. Because all I’m associating him with now is being Jennifer’s official red carpet picker-upper.
